Summary of DIMAX404KProduct Services:
Chassis
The DIMAX404K products can be accessed in a 1.5U high 19” rack compatible chassis. Robust mechanics and logical interface design guarantee easy installation and operation. The box contains 2 pieces of regulated, internal fans. The fans are regulated in order to achieve optimally low noise level and sufficient cooling for the long term, stable operation.
Power Connection
The chassis contains internal power supply supporting all of the international mains electricity standards from 90V up to 265V. The small matrix can be switched on and switched off by the following methods.
Power Switches, standby mode
There are two switches controlling the switch-on and switch-off operation.
The mains switch on the back side and near the 230V mains connector performs full mains SWITCH ON or SWITCH OFF relating to the 230V power. The front switch of the chassis has special function if the back panel mains switch is on. The product can be put into standby phase by using the front panel switch. The very last status and output content is saved during the standby phase. The second push of the front panel switch deactivates the standby phase so the very last state of operation appears.
Please note to switch off first and then remove the power supply cable if opening the chassis for any reason.
Remote switch-on and switch-off
The DIMAX404 can be switched on and switched off remotely in case of the mains power switch is on. The TCP/IP based remote command can force the DIMAX to standby or can return the product from the standby phase.
Programmed wake-up and standby
The DIMAX contains separate scheduler to wake up the device or send to standby mode. This scheduling can be programmed and works according to the internal calendar clock.
Front LED and push buttons for setup
The front panel LED displays status information for setup and control. There are push buttons for navigation and control inside the setup to handle setting up of basic configuration information
Push buttons for signal control
There is a set of push buttons for input signal and a separate set for output signal management. They can work for multiple purposes:
Disable of push button operation
Front panel push button operation can be disabled using a special system setting. In this case user can prevent un-authorized user action from the front panels and so improve system responsibility.
Interface connectors
The DIMAX404 products contain control interfaces as
Input connectors and signals of DIMAX404K product
Output connectors and signals of DIMAX404K product
Real time signal handling for perfect customer satisfaction
The DIMAX products perform all operations in real time. So the output signals are displayed in real time from the inputs regardless of the signal resolution, scaling, PIP and number of signals controlled. No drop of frames, no black frames or transitions can be experienced
Unlimited scaling of input signals to outputs
The DIMAX404 devices contain two output signal scaling engines for each of the output channels. The scaling operation has no limit so the scale up from any input resolution as for example 640x480 or 1024x768 to any output resolution up to 1920x1080, 3840x2160 or even 4098x2160 is possible. The scale down from any input resolution as for example 3840x2160 can be performed to any output resolution as 1280x720 is possible. One of the scaling engines serve the main output while the second one supports the PIP channel. The scaling operation results crystal clear image displayed in real time with no drop of frames.
Presentation Effects
OSD over output signals (On-Screen-Display)
There is a built-in information text about the current output settings and input connections. This information text can be visualized on the OSD (On-Screen-Display) panel. The visibility settings of the OSD panel can be changed here.
By default, the information panel can be seen on the top-left corner of each display output. The position, size, timing, content, background colour, the text colour and the highlighted colour can also be specified in the OSD panel.
Professional HDCP handling
The products offer professional HDCP handling as supporting HDCP 1.4, 2.0 or 2.2 standards for the perfect integration of the boxes to complex environments. The user can set up at the input side to reflect handling of
The device handles all HDCP standards at the output side depending on the peripheral connected. All the HDCP rules are strictly kept when displaying signals with different HDCP standard.
Perfect EDID handling
The EDID handling at the output and input side has been developed to support easy system integration. Different EDID handling method include the chance to develop custom EDID to be presented to special input sources.
Custom output resolution
The devices handle all standard output resolutions. Additionally there is the chance to specify custom output resolution. Custom Output Timing Editor helps to create a new output timing, modify a created timing or delete one of created timings. The Custom Output Timing feature will expand the output timing list on output settings page, if it is compliant with the output card capabilities. Several custom timings can be created and they can be used for several output channels also.
This editor gives total access to the parameters in order to create a custom output timing:
Easy-to-use remote control by graphics user interface
The DIMAX404 devices can be controlled remotely from a Web browser of any platform. We offer possibilities to use Windows, Linux, Android, or iOS based Web browser for the remote control. The user has to start the browser, type in the TCP/IP address of the DEXON device. Now the user receives an easy-to-use graphics interface where simple mouse clicks can control setups and operation also.
Local language support
The graphics user interface supports users with the option to select a local language for the operation. A lot of different local language options are supported:
Different user rights
The web based remote user interface includes handling of different users with different rights. There is an Administrator account that is able to define other administrators or users with different access and control rights.
Operations inside the graphics user interface
The user can perform device and layout management operations by simple mouse clicks. The interface is rather easy to understand and supports all the functions for the remote device control.
Input signal handling option
The user may receive valuable information about the input signals as
Comprehensive input signal management can be performed also, as
Input and output signals assignment
The assignment of input signals to the outputs can be performed by the push-buttons arranged in a matrix-like area. There are 3 independent push button areas to manage
Output signal status options
The output ports and displayed signals have a status area reflecting
Output signal parameters management
The output signal management provides full control of the following parameters
Automatic test mode operation
A large set of different test patterns and schedules can be recalled and run to each of the output channels where static or even moving test patterns are available. The sequence of different settings with coloured picture can be generated with a single mouse click.
Layout management and signal assignment by push buttons
Special area of push buttons can be used to recall pre-designed signal assignment patterns. From 8 up to 32 layout controlling buttons can recall full system assignment pattern in a glimpse. The buttons can have own name, colour for active and inactive state, even sequential display of patterns can be set up by assigned stepping time and sequence.
Improved system reliability by logging
You can initiate precise logging procedure that saves all the system parameters to files for later revision. The device has 6 levels of logging to save critical data of the configuration and operation.
Sophisticated system parameters
The clever management of this device offers a lot of advanced and sophisticated parameter setting possibilities in the assigned area of the user interface.
Remote supervision of device health, info page
Full hardware monitoring information is collected by the software system. There are four types of data:
The status of these parameters is permanently displayed over the remote user interface while user can check all the status information in detail. The status of these parameters is saved to special log files also.
All-in-one solution with internal media player
The built-in internal media player feature allows you to create digital-signage presentations. The presentations can be performed with various types of contents.
This media player can apply the sophisticated, calendar based scheduling to start or to stop display of content.
Advanced scheduler for calendar based device operation
The advance internal scheduler can be programmed to start or to stop layout display, manage internal media player, to send command strings through the RS232C interface to achieve external device control.
External keyboard or X-keys handling
You can connect a standard keyboard or a programmable keypad (X-keys) to recall any of the layouts. The user can control the device operation by simple key buttons and display pre-designed layout according to his wish.
